Props and Flops

This semester, we’re introducing a regular post called “Props and Flops”. I think it will be fun. The first one will start in August, but start sending them now.

How to submit

  1. Email to News@garnetlife.com
  2. Tweet at us: @GarnetReport with the hashtag #prop or #flop.

All submissions are anonymous and they can be edited if necessary. Since we don’t have material at the moment, I leave you with these rants:

Rant To the man walking around at the crowded Salmon Days Festival carrying three large snakes. Your attention-getting activity was extraordinarily inconsiderate to the many people who were startled and terrified to be forced into close proximity to your “pets,” especially ones of that size. Yes, snakes are pretty much misunderstood, but your stunt did nothing to help. Next time stay off to the side and let people come to you if you want to do your “snake handler” routine. Or better yet leave it in a zoo or at home.

Rant To the young woman having trouble trying to parallel park, causing a traffic jam of seven cars in both directions, then cursing at all of us. May I suggest therapy and some driving lessons?
