Fashion trends are always a topic of conversation in college. Over the years, anything and everything has been experimented with – some hits, some not. We have compiled the top 5 more recent hits and misses to grace the presence of college style.
1. The Comfy Look
Miss:
Let’s be honest, college is a time for comfy clothes, especially with late nights and 8 a.m. classes. But pajamas? No matter how tired you might be, pjs are always a miss.
Hit:
If you are looking for something fast, fun, and super relaxed, athletic shorts are definitely the way to go. There are countless colors and paterns to choose from, making it easy to express your own personaitly while feeling comfortable!
2. The Oversized Shirt
Miss:
The baggy t-shirt does absolutely nothing for anyone. It simply looks like you bought the wrong size. When choosing your everyday outfit, always take in consideration what looks best on your body.
Hit:
One of the more popular trends is the oversized button-up. I love this look because there are so many different styles to choose from. You can wear the shirt tucked in or left out. This particular shirt adds the perfect touch of sophistication.
3. Tube vs. Sheer
Miss:
I have a rule: If you don’t know whether an article of clothing is a top or a bottom, don’t try to figure it out. Tube tops are a simple no when it comes to any type of fashion. They show everything, and no one wants to see that. Sorry.
Hit:
Sheer that covers is always a classy choice. It’s a summertime look that can be carried over into early fall.
4: Leggings
Miss:
Simple fact: leggings are NOT pants. Thus, if you wear them, cover the needed areas.
Hit:
If you are going to wear leggings, boots and chunky scarves are a must. Even though these two styles are extremely different, they are both great!
5. No Stress Hair
Miss:
No matter how easy, dreadlocks are never an option.
Hit:
The messy bun is probably my favorite hair style. It’s fast, easy, and simple. And no matter how high, low, puffy, or flat, it still works!
