We have all felt it. The cool mornings have found their way to Columbia, and the smell of fall is here. What does that mean? It’s time for our fall fashion favorites! In this week’s Editor’s Note, I want to highlight a few of my personal favorites that are sure to be hits this fall.
Neutrals: The Colors of Fall
The first thing to notice about this relaxed but classy look is the combination of neutral colors. With the cooler weather comes the warmer colors. The best part – you can almost always pair any of these colors together, and you are going to look great. But for this fall I can already tell you, grey is the way to go.
Shorts + Tights
Over the past couple of years, this trend has come and gone. But this time, it is here to stay. The only thing better than wearing shorts in the summer, is wearing them in the winter. So grab some tights, solid or pattern, and have a little fun. For the finishing touch, add the perfect pair of heels.
Leather
Purses, Belts, Heels, and so much more….leather is always the best. Leather accessories add sophistication to any outfit and they are perfect for the fall. If you don’t have your ideal leather pieces for the season, than be sure check out the latest styles and fads.
Time to Relax…
In addition to great fashion, fall is a time for relaxation with friends and catching up on your reading. Whatever you do, don’t forget to slow down and breathe. Even with busy schedules, you want to set aside time to enjoy the weather. My suggestion: grab a blanket, a couple of friends and head to the Horseshoe for a couple of hours. Don’t forget the coffee!
