Here at Garnet Report, we are excited to embrace this school year by bringing you new and improved content! As you might have guessed, narrowing our focus and adding our very own Garnet Report Fashion segment was at the top of our list! We hope you enjoy the following preview of our GR Fashion weeks, and stay tuned in for all the chic things to come!
The Fashion Schedule
The Style Guide will be written by our fashion team member Caroline Hafer. She will be showing you a week by week of the latest trends, do it yourself styles, and how to dress the latest fads without blowing your budget. Monday will give you a little bit of everything, from what not to wear to what to look forward to in this season’s trends.
On Tuesdays, our very own fashion editor Tori Beth Black will be selecting a “pin” of the week to share with our Pinterest followers. These pins could be anything from fashion, to hair styles, to baby animals (because who doesn’t love baby animals) given to us by none other than YOU! So follow us on Pinterest, and email me your favorite pins to possibly become the pin of the week.
For Who, Wear, What, our fashion team member Alexis Mood will be giving you a taste of the hot spots of Columbia. From coffee shops, to boutiques, each location will be chosen for its pleasant atmosphere, close proximity to campus, reasonable prices, and quality products. Our goal is to introduce you to not so popular, but awesome places around the city so you don’t have to find them yourself.
The Editor’s Note is exactly what it’s titled. Our GR fashion editor, Tori Beth Black, will compose weekly notes, integrating fashion with all other aspects of life. Tori Beth will be giving you an insightful look at fashion by applying it to more than just clothes. Fashion and style can be a way of life, and we want you to embrace yours!
Fashionista Friday will be written and conducted by our fashion team writer Kalyn Oyer. Kalyn will be scouting out students around campus who have been living up to our fashion standards. We will be telling you a little bit about these trendy students and the inspiration behind their fabulous looks. So ladies and gentlemen, dress to impress and you could be our Friday Fashionista!
