Is the iPhone 5 worth the upgrade?

I dutifully sat at my desk today and watched the tweets come across the computer screen as the iPhone 5 was announced.

But now the real question: is it worth the upgrade?

I’m not sold on the larger screen (maybe its great, but I’m ok with the 4S). Sure, more real estate is nice, but won’t landscape mode be weird? Also 18% thinner is not something to freak out about.

Perhaps if they announce an uncrackable screen it would be a tad more exciting.

On the other hand, iOS 6 IS exciting. Maps anyone? My friend upgraded to it as a developer and says its great. Plus Siri is finally going to be capable. I love software updates.

At this point, I won’t be upgrading, but if you have an iPhone 4 it may just be worth it. Particularly the camera. Your food needs to be looking good when it makes it to instagram. ;)

side note: this post was written on an iPhone 4S. It seemed appropriate

If you have a 4S, I don’t feel like the upgrade to the 5 is necessary at all. Especially since we’ll get the iOS 6 update anyways. Although I am a little bit jealous that Siri will be a bit smarter on the 5. I feel like she doesn’t ever understand anything I’m saying. :(

I think (and I could be wrong) that Siri will be the same on 4S and 5.
