Back in 2010, Mumford and Sons released The Cave, which was easily the best album of the year. Sure, Eminem and Taylor Swift had good releases. But let’s be real, Mumford killed it.

They went on a tour, made a lot of noise, and then nothing. A few sporadic tracks came out which were tantalizingly random and concerts occasionally included unreleased material that fans grabbed onto like it was a sign from heaven.

BUT FINALLY, they’re doing it. They’re releasing their Sophomore effort. The Mumford men have decided that the Earth is once again worthy of their chord progressions.

And we couldn’t be more excited.

Babel

The album is called “Babel.” They haven’t said much else except that it will be released September 24th.

They released a teaser trailer for the album:

Needless to say, this is an album we’ll be preordering. Their tour comes to Louisville Kentucky, and tickets are going fast (seriously, half the shows are sold out already).

Will you be there?
