What is the inspiration behind your outfit?

I like taking something girly like a sparkly dress and giving it an edgy twist, like brown studded boots and a bomber jacket.

Where did you get your outfit?

It’s definitely an eclectic mix! Boots: Kmart (believe it or not!) Dress: Charlotte Russe Jacket: Target Necklace: Claire’s (guilty pleasure- i love a lot of their jewelry) Bracelet: Was a gift

What’s your favorite piece?

Definitely, the gold owl clock necklace. It’s classy but vintage at the same time.

If you had to match a song to your outfit, what song would you choose?

“Dog Days are Over” by Florence + The Machine. The drum beats in the chorus remind me of the edgy accessories.

What’s the best style advice you’ve been given?

“You were born an original. Don’t die a copy.” Love this quote! Don’t be afraid to be different when it comes to fashion- be yourself and start your own trends!

What is the inspiration behind your outfit?

Bright colors! I love the turquoise on the shirt mixed with the bright red flower. It also matches my nails (one hand red, one aqua).

Where did you get your outfit?

  • Top: Rue21
  • Jean shorts: Target
  • Gladiator Sandals: RackRoom
  • Ring: Thrift store
  • Bracelet: Palmetto Moon
  • Necklace: JCPenny
  • Flower: Forever21

What is your favorite piece?

The fringe top. I wear it literally all the time- the turquoise aztec print is sooo faded from all the times I’ve washed it, but I don’t care I love it. It’s such a fun piece!

Where would you wear this?

I actually wore it for my first day of classes…so yeah!

What do you hope is trendy this fall?

I love the shorts over tights look, so I’m hoping that will be be in this fall. And chunky sweaters are always a must.

A big thank you to our amazing photographer Hayden Antal for working with the GR Fashion Team and shooting these photos! Also thanks to Kalyn for sitting down and telling us more about yourself. Check out the rest of the team too.
